Hey there, I’m Tim Scott. I’m a founder, speaker, veteran, and professor living the dream in Austin, Texas.
I'm the founder of Mitscoots Outfitters, a social enterprise on a mission to outfit and employ individuals transitioning out of homelessness. Leveraging some past military and ad world experience, I've guided our team in growing Mitscoots into a national brand that has ultimately helped to lift individuals off the streets and out of homelessness. Through strategy, community building and grit, we've bootstrapped a great social enterprise into 200+ retail partnerships with a significant e-commerce presence.
Pivoting off that experience and at the insistence of colleagues I founded Benefit Branding, a full service ad agency focused on social impact branding. With a unique technique for strategy, target audience insights, and long term planning, our team helps clients build customer relationships by telling their story in the best way possible, everywhere possible.
I'm also honored to teach advertising, public relations, branding and strategy as a professor of practice at the University of Texas at Austin in the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations. It's a privilege to guide the next generation of great storytellers and brand builders.
I've guided my teams and students to success while never losing sight of their mission. With national media exposure, including Forbes, Inc., and NPR, I've brought positive attention to our companies, students and numerous social issues.
I'm always excited for the next project and lesson.
